This week Ayshford Sansome will be welcoming the first of four Year 10 and 12 work experience students who we have been able to offer placements between now and the end of summer.
This provides an opportunity for them to experience office life, to learn about what architects do, and get involved in current projects but also to be let loose on our 3D software which can lead to some interesting results!
It’s interesting to hear what they think architecture is and what the job involves, and we are no longer surprised by how quickly they learn the ropes in 1 or 2 weeks.
As a practice that values the local community and people offering these work experience placements gives us a chance to learn about their aspirations and offer students guidance, some of whom may be the next generation of architects.
